I once had a book by the wonderful children's artist and writer Alexei Laptev, published in 1956, but the book, alas, was worn out and threatened to cease to exist completely, and I wanted to save these drawings.
There was no computer, and few people had one. Then I copied it (sometimes using carbon paper, sometimes “through glass” and painted it with watercolors, trying to distort the author’s drawing as little as possible.
At the moment I don’t have the book itself, to my great regret, and I haven’t copied the poems from it, but the poems are wonderful... I remember some... I completely forgot some, so if anyone has them, don’t count them for your work... please share the text... I’ll put it in a book and put it in the same way (I couldn’t find it for sale - it’s not in stock in bookstores, even though it was announced)
