Evgeny Balakshin was born in Saransk in 1962. He graduated from art school, Saransk Art School, Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute. Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1991. The work of Evgeny Balakshin stylistically belongs to the Russian realistic school of painting with its subtle rendering of color and light, richness of the color palette. Paintings by Evgeny Balakshin are on permanent display at the Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts. S.D. Erzya, in numerous private collections in Russia and abroad.
