Aerial Photography by Kasper Kowalski (9 photos)
Kasper Kowalski is a renowned Polish photographer, although he is an architect by training. He came to photography through his other hobby – paragliding.
He is a top-notch pilot and instructor, and it is his calm and confidence during flight that helps him capture high-quality photographs from such an unusual perspective.
Kasper Kowalski was born in 1977 and graduated from the Gdansk University of Technology with a degree in architecture.

"I'm an architect, so I see the world through the prism of my education, imagining everything in the form of maps and drawings," says Kowalski.
Kasper Kowalski lives and works in Gdynia (a city in northern Poland).
Kasper Kowalski received particular recognition for his series of aerial photographs of the Polish winter. Winter photographs taken from a bird's eye view are very rare, as paragliding in winter is a difficult, dangerous, and expensive activity.
Pomerania, a historical region of Poland on the southern Baltic Sea, is famous for its majestic forests, lakes, and rivers. It is this landscape that the author chose to capture in his work.
Pomeranian forests are of mixed type, which means the trees shed their leaves at different times in the fall. This makes these forests a real treasure for aerial photographers.
Kasper Kowalski has dedicated many years to photographing this area.
Thanks to Kasper's hard work, we now have the opportunity to see the world from a bird's eye view.
