Icelandic rivers - a view from above
These amazing images are reminiscent of a Martian landscape. They are not satellite photos, as might initially appear. These photographs were taken by photographer Andrey Ermolaev from the window of a light aircraft at an altitude of 800 meters. “Iceland is a wonderful country. I would even say it’s a true paradise for photography lovers,” says the photographer. “But for me, the real discovery was the rivers flowing through the black volcanic sand. This indescribable combination of colors, lines, and patterns. The river’s mouth flows into the ocean, and a little higher up, a yellowish stream joins its current. It’s simply a river, simply a volcano, simply our planet.”
