Soaring above the earth like a bird

"Proud Wanderer" is an unusual creative project by wildlife photographer Howard Lau, who works under the online handle HOWLD. In the photographs you'll see in this issue, the photographer captures the dizzying flight of birds. The viewer feels as if they're soaring high in the sky alongside the birds. The photographer gives us a rare opportunity to literally see the world through the eyes of a bird.





The footage focuses on individual birds soaring on outstretched wings over stunning landscapes.

The photographer captures the precise details of beaks, feet, and feathers, creating unusual yet completely realistic images. We've never seen birds from this angle before.

The author titles his photographs quite poetically, for example: "A Better Tomorrow?", "In Search of the Soul," and "Around the World." And as the birds boldly fly toward adventure, the viewer is invited to create their own story about each bird.

"My goal, no matter what genre of photography I'm doing at the moment, is the same: to tell a story through a frame," the photographer says.
