30 amazing satellite photos that will change your view of the world

Daily Overview is a project that provides access to the most beautiful and relevant satellite images, changing the way we view planet Earth. Previously, this privilege was only available to astronauts or specialists at space research centers; now, each of us also has the opportunity to discover the unique natural and urban landscapes of the planet's most hidden places every day.

We've selected three dozen of the project's most impressive images so you can appreciate humanity's millennia-long legacy on Earth.

Bourtange is a Dutch village with a population of 430. This star was built in 1593, during the Eighty Years' War, when William I of Orange wanted to control the only road between Germany and Groningen. Bourtange was restored in 1960 and is now an open-air museum.
