Dmitry Verfel, despite terrible hand injuries, opened his own photography school and began teaching children
22 years ago, Dmitry Werfel was hit by a car at night - the driver then got scared and left the scene. The man miraculously survived, made it to the hospital, and for two months they tried to save his hands, which were eventually amputated. He worked as an electrician and this became a real disaster for the family breadwinner. But he decided to act.
He saw an advertisement for a course that promised to return disabled people to their familiar environment, and in 2009 he wanted to become a photographer - he secured a free place on a correspondence course at KemGUKI.
As a result, more than 20 years passed, and Werfel managed to get married, have children, get two more educations, win several grants and open his own school. In it, he teaches disabled children for free not only the art of photography, but also, by his example, life, self-discovery and, of course, the fact that one should not give up under any circumstances.
