To create spiders, a technique called lampworking is used - artistic processing of glass in the fire of a burner. The starting raw material for such products is glass tubes, which are heated on the flame of a gas burner. Using such a burner, the glass is heated to a temperature of 1800 degrees (the melting point is 800-12000 degrees depending on the type of glass), after which the master gives the glass various shapes. In the hands of an experienced artist, glass turns into a work of art.

Each figurine is unique and made by hand. Despite its small size, during creation the master takes into account the proportions and features of some spiders. They are all different - before creating a figurine, the master selects a separate species or individual in order to recreate it in as much detail as possible from glass, and also add something of his own to the figurine.
