Adam Kozel brings back photos of dying tribes from his travels
Mukawana, Angola
There are places on the planet that civilization has not yet reached. But Adam Kozel, a Polish photographer and traveler, has. It all started with a passion for exploring new territories, and ended with us being provided with a grandiose project about the inhabitants of unknown tribes. The tribes are gradually dying out. In each one there are still elderly people who carry history on their bodies: tattoos that heroes and victors got, unusual stretch marks and jewelry. Adam first found old tribesmen whose bodies were completely covered in tattoos. This impressed the photographer so much that he continued to explore tribes, communicate with their representatives and immortalize them on camera. Adam Kozel has visited tribes in Africa, Asia and South America, and he does not plan to stop.
The photographs of a culture radically different from ours are, to put it mildly, stunning. It is difficult to accept the fact that here it is - happening right now, on the same planet. The range of emotions that arise when viewing is limitless - the impression remains for a long time. Each frame is a wonderful provocation, a reason to break away from everyday reality and catch the dynamics of life happening there, on neighboring continents.
