Squirrels are fast, smart and charming forest inhabitants, and chance encounters with them always delight us. And also - squirrels have amazing gymnastic abilities! Belgian photographer Niki Colemont recently showed a series of shots of wild squirrels demonstrating their flexibility and even the ability to “fly”. Check out his wonderful shots!
"Did you know that squirrels are amazingly flexible creatures. They can turn their body and hind legs 180 degrees. Thanks to this ability, they can move deftly even in difficult places. Their strong and flexible hind legs are another superpower. They can easily hanging upside down on trees in various positions, clinging to their paws, and also climbing,” writes photographer Nicky Colemont.
