19 People Wearing Mullets in 2020 (19 Photos)

There aren't many things that can stand the test of time, and you probably thought that a mullet was definitely not one of them.

But you were wrong. Kurri Kurri, Australia even has an annual festival called Mulletfest dedicated to these stylish hairstyles. And London-based photographer Craig Gibson visited in 2020 to capture this year's top entries.

“I watched and researched the festival online, watching various YouTube videos and following hashtags, and then I just decided to book a flight and go. The festival seemed quite noisy to me, but I wanted to do something calmer and more fashionable,” said the photographer.

In his Kentucky Waterfalls series, he photographed several portraits of competitors of all ages from around the world. His goal was to capture the more intimate side of the event and its participants, so he decided to wander around and ask people if they would like to participate in creating interesting portraits. Here are just a few of the photographs he managed to create at Mulletfest 2020.
