Photographer captures dramatic squirrel attack on pheasant from behind tree stump (5 photos)
The dramatic events were witnessed by 76-year-old photographer Malcolm McBeath at a private estate near Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland. A red squirrel saw a pheasant pecking something while standing on a tree stump. Apparently the squirrel also decided to try the treat from the stump and attacked the bird. The pheasant was taken aback by such impudence, but decided not to mess with the aggressive squirrel and stayed away from the stump.
