This photography project represents a meeting between two great talents of the 20th century. The famous violinist Jascha Heifetz became the subject of light paintings by photographer Gjen Mili in 1952. For his series, Mealy attached a light bulb to a bow and asked a violinist to play in a darkened studio. This is how the impressive footage of the bow dance came about.
