24-year-old Ekaterina, who lives in Moscow, Russian Federation, creates her striking masterpieces by painstakingly placing petals, pieces of radishes and tufts of grass on her models.
Her unconventional images, designed to challenge traditional beauty standards, have attracted more than 15 thousand users to her Instagram, despite the fact that many people feel some discomfort with trypophobia-inducing images.
Katya has always had an interest in fashion, makeup and costumes since her childhood, and her work has been strongly influenced by artists such as Isa Genzken, Pipilotti Rist and Donald Judd.
The girl said that her interest in experimenting with unconventional materials was inspired by the Russian village and the natural souvenirs that her parents gave her when they traveled.
Quite often, the 24-year-old artist involves her friend and family members in posing in unusual artistic images. Katya has several projects, for which she even specially grew a plant such as luffa.
“For me, beauty is not aesthetics, but feelings,” admits Ekaterina.
