The Western Romanian Mountains or Apuseni are part of the Carpathian mountain system, and are located in the cultural and historical region of Romania - Transylvania. For photographer Cristian Lipovan, these mountains are not the most impressive, but full of picturesque corners and hidden places of interest. The photographer spent hours researching old maps and online forums to find some of them, but the results were definitely worth it!
"After spending hundreds of hours searching the Internet and old maps, I found some amazing places. I discovered houses and things that had been untouched for decades, dust and cobwebs had settled on them.
