Iceland by Tom Kondrat (17 photos)
How do you look at the many photographs created by Tom Kondrat during his travels in Iceland?
The first thing that comes to mind when you look at his photographs is “loneliness.” His photographs are designed to make people believe that Iceland truly is a desert country that boasts wide open spaces and icy deserts. You can almost imagine how the strong wind howls in your ears, how the chill goes straight to your bones. And wherever you look, a person always remains here alone, alone with nature, alone with the Creator himself. This feeling of loneliness may be unbearable for some, but others find solace in such places. Nothing here can disturb them or distract them from their thoughts. Only here can they finally be left alone.
