Photographer Caesar Blay created the photo project “State of Abandonment,” in which a man with an umbrella confronts the cruelty and indifference of the outside world. The hero seems so small, and his umbrella seems such a conventional protection against evil, that the viewer inevitably becomes imbued with the loneliness and confusion of the main character.
