Lonely road signs in Namibia - a piece of civilization among desert landscapes (13 photos)
During a 2.5-week, 4,000km road trip across Namibia, German photographer Helin Bereket found inspiration in photographing lonely road signs. Like hermits, they stand by the dusty roads, motionless and bleached by the sun. “The car passing by is probably the only guest they have seen lately in these desert lands,” the photographer writes.
“Long and lonely roads cut through the vast desert landscape as the only reminder of civilization in these uninhabited places,” the photographer writes.
