Clouds in all their glory
Clouds are collections of tiny water droplets or ice crystals held suspended in the atmosphere. All these droplets or crystals are formed due to the condensation of water vapor around even smaller particles of such things as we all know, like smoke or salt. Scientists call them “condensation nuclei.”
-A small cloud in the sky weighs at least 500 tons, which is equal to the weight of a hundred elephants
-The clouds are higher during the day than at night.
-Clouds cannot move southwest.
-In Indian mythology, Krishna was personified as a dark rain cloud bringing salvation from drought.
-In the Tibetan tradition, the “path of white clouds” is an unambiguous symbol of spiritual development and perfection. The cloud is associated with air, sky and angels. Often the angel is depicted standing or sitting on a cloud. The Hand of God emerging from a cloud is a popular heraldic symbol of the power bestowed by God.
-Watching clouds promotes the development of global consciousness. Often, when we watch the evening news, we take satellite images of cloud cover and weather forecasts for vast areas for granted. If you think about what lies behind it, then this triumph of technology deserves deep admiration.
-Planet Earth is unique because of the presence of the water substance and the fact that the 93,000,000-mile distance from the Sun allows water to exist in all three of its states (steam, liquid and ice). Simultaneously! Astronauts who have seen the Earth from space have been amazed by the beauty of the white-blue-green halo surrounding our planet against the backdrop of the blackness of space.
