Artist Alexey Alexandrovich Petrikov was born in March 1957 in the village of Samsonovo, Kerkinsky district, Chardzhou region, Turkmen SSR. He graduated from high school in the village of Totskoye, Orenburg region.

After school, in 1972, he entered the Buguruslan Pedagogical School (art and graphic department).

He graduated from the school with honors in 1976.

After college, he worked in the workshop of the Art Foundation of Bashkiria.

In 1995, Alexey Alexandrovich Petrikov became a member of the Union of Artists of Bashkiria. In 1996 - a member of the Union of Artists of Russia.
