Male fantasies in the hyperrealistic paintings of Philipp Weber (18 photos)
German hyperrealist artist Philipp Weber creates incredible, almost photographically precise paintings. His work centers on women—invariably beautiful, self-confident, and often mysterious. We are left to imagine what is happening to his heroines. Weber's paintings leave ample scope for imagination, primarily that of men.
Philipp Weber was born in Berlin in 1974. His artistic development occurred in the second half of the 1990s, when the young artist experimented extensively and sought his own style. Of course, he found it, and that's why we can enjoy these amazing works, which even experts often mistake for digital graphics.
Weber's work is incredibly multifaceted. Some of his pop-realist masterpieces resemble beautifully staged advertisements. Others, on the contrary, take us back to the strict canons of the Renaissance. At the same time, all of the master's works are characterized by high realism and attention to detail.
The artist says he is inspired by American hyperrealists. Like them, Weber paints his models in isolation from their context and surroundings. The girl is the main character of his story, and nothing should distract the viewer from her image. ![]()
