Sophisticated portraits of stars by master photographer Fabrizio Ferri
Italian photographer Fabrizio Ferri is a cult master of the 1970s and 1980s. He captured many A-list stars, including Naomi Campbell, Julia Roberts, Sting, and Antonio Banderas. Ferri has a long-standing friendship with Monica Bellucci, allowing him to capture numerous portraits of the actress at different periods of her life.
Photo from a rally
Fabrizio Ferri was born in 1952 in Rome. His parents were intellectuals, and from an early age they instilled in their son a love of art and science. They were members of the Communist Party and often took Fabrizio along to various events. At one rally, 17-year-old Fabrizio took a successful portrait of a man with his wife and child.

The photograph was acquired by a Roman newspaper, and it became famous. Unfortunately, Ferri lost the original of this first recognized photograph, a loss he still laments. But the portrait served its purpose, revealing to the world a remarkable photographer who captured the iconic figures of the era.
