The best works of the Nikon Surf Photo competition (21 photos)

The finalists of Australia's most famous surf photography competition have been announced. Nikon Surf Photo and Video of the Year Awards selects the best surf photography from across the country for 2019. 10 prestigious judges, including seven-time world surfing champion Stephanie Gilmore, selected 20 images for the finale.

The images were judged on innovation, creativity, dramatic effect, sensory impact, uniqueness and composition. The winners of the Nikon Surf Photo and Video of the Year Awards will be announced shortly.
