He appeared on the cinematic horizon without much fanfare, already a mature master of the stage, having the title of laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR, and announced himself with a number of screen works, so different in appearance from each other that the viewer did not even immediately unite them into a single whole , I did not immediately understand his performing style - elegant, but not flashy, hiding the utmost internal tension, the hot work of the mind. When the viewer finally “tasted” him, he immediately wrote him down as one of his favorite actors - Aristarkh Livanov.
