Swedish artist Emma Ekwall (1838-1925) (29 works)
Emma Ekwall was the first Swedish woman painter to receive the Royal Medal. Born January 18, 1838. After graduating from the Academy of Painting, where she studied from 1865 to 1870, she lived for some time in Munich and Leipzig. She painted mainly portraits of her children, flower still lifes and genre scenes.
She died in 1925 in Stockholm.
