Georgy Kolosov was born in 1945. Graduated from Moscow Power Engineering Institute. Has been involved in photography since 1976. In 1978, he became a member of the Novator photo club, where he received the main lessons in fine culture. He studied with the classic of Russian photography G.N. Soshalsky. Kolosov is one of the founders and ideologist of pictorial (pictorial) photography. He was the first among modern photographers to shoot only with a monocle - a single-lens lens that allows him to achieve a particularly picturesque photographic image. His first experiments in shooting with soft-focus optics date back to 1979. Kolosov designs monocles himself and uses only his own optics. The author's collection includes more than 200 works created by the master over 25 years.
