Andrey Poletaev lives in Lugansk. He draws unusually realistic and stunningly atmospheric pictures with a regular ballpoint pen. The subjects of his works are city landscapes, ordinary passers-by, and portraits of celebrities.

Cityscapes are especially difficult to complete and can take 200 to 300 hours of painstaking work. To give the drawing the desired depth, contrast, perspective and atmosphere, the artist applies 10-20 layers of ink.
