An artist from Japan created a magical world filled with warmth, kindness and huge animals (40 photos)
The world would be much more interesting if there were huge cats in it. The mysterious Japanese artist, known on social networks by her pseudonym Ariduka55 or Monokubo, creates fantastic illustrations with worlds in which giant, kind animals live side by side with people. Her works will take you to a beautiful dream world filled with warmth and kindness.
Artist Monokubo is 24 years old, and her work was inspired by Studio Ghibli and its anime films Princess Mononoke and Totoro. The atmosphere in the drawings is unearthly, and the paintings reveal to the audience the amazing inner world of the artist, in which pets act as giants and protect their owners.
“I like to create drawings in this style from a young age,” says the girl, and she is inspired by natural landscapes and various illustrations, for example, the works of Peter Yablonsky.
The artist especially likes to represent huge pandas, rabbits, dogs and, of course, cats. The atmosphere in her works is peaceful, full of small details that tell the whole story. In many of the drawings you can see soft sunlight shining through various objects.
Fun fact, the Japanese even have their own word for sunlight shining through tree leaves - komorebi (? ? ? ?). This word describes a curtain of light and its shadow, but it also describes simply everyday beauty.
