Industrial designer Vai makes no secret of her love for all things intricate and whimsical, but her true passion is paper art. Using a scalpel, she turns paper into miniature jewelry and accessories, including bags, wallets, key chains, pendants and watches. Vai is inspired by pop culture, anime, games, and Studio Ghibli. The craftswoman’s goal is for her art to lift one’s spirits and make a person a little happier.

The miniature nature of the works is no coincidence. Vai hopes that her accessories will accompany people on their trips and help them take their minds off their problems and make their day less stressful.
