The work of software engineer and artist Eric Geuse is proof that inspiration is all around us. For quite some time now, Eric has been turning ordinary household items into mesmerizing spaceships. From a tin can to a video adapter, everything can be a rocket in Eric's mind.

"I've been drawing and making Lego spaceships since I saw Star Wars in 1997," Eric said. I'm a big fan of science fiction and I love turning the world around me into my own world. I am always inspired by great science fiction artists such as Moebius, Ralph McCarry, Chris Foss, Syd Mead and others.

Eric encourages everyone to dream bigger. “Spaceships are like dragons,” he said. "You can make them look however you want, but how you feel is what matters most."

“Trying to come up with an original yet familiar design is definitely the hardest part,” Eric added. “There are so many good things to draw inspiration from, but I also try to find something unique. I make a lot of sketches before I decide to create.”
