Alexey Rychkov (born 1968) - graduate of the Academy of Painting and Design named after. IN AND. Mukhina (1993). Already in the early stages of his studies, he collaborated with art galleries in Finland, Poland and Prague. In 1995, he was invited to Paris, where in four and a half years more than 100 works were painted and successfully sold at auctions and exhibitions of Russian art in Paris. Several paintings from this period were used in the interior design of the Grand Hotel WestMinster (Paris). Having received recognition and fame in Paris, Alexey resumes work in St. Petersburg. In 1999, 7 works by the artist were acquired by the National History Museum of Australia (Sydney). Two years later, the Mining Museum of St. Petersburg receives a large order to reconstruct the lost portrait gallery of emperors and pundits of Russia. Along with this, the artist creates a series of landscapes with views of the Museum.
