Andrey Remnev was born in 1962 in the city of Yakhroma, Moscow region. Graduated from the Moscow State Art Institute. Surikov (workshop of K. Tutevol and E. Maksimov).

He trained in Germany and worked in Cyprus, where he created a series of landscapes and portraits, including a portrait of the President of Cyprus.
He studied icon painting under the guidance of icon painter Fr. Vyacheslav (Savinykh) in the Spaso-Andronnikov Monastery in Moscow.
Participated in numerous exhibitions in Russia and abroad.

The artist's works are in private and corporate collections.

Andrei Remnev builds his artistic technique on a combination of techniques from ancient Russian icon painting, Russian painting of the 18th century, compositional findings from the “World of Art” and Russian constructivism. Like artists of the past, Remnev uses natural pigments, hand-erased onto yolk.
