Paintings by Romanian artist Daniel Dotu. Born in Romania, the artist has been fascinated by the fantastic works of the great masters of science fiction literature since childhood. The books of Isaac Asimov, Zelazny and Lemme were read to their heart's content and stood like a large iceberg on his desk. Stealthily, after completing all his mother's homework, he locked himself in his room, sat down at the table, picked up a pencil and began to draw. Here you could give free rein to your imagination. Distant countries, space travel and star wars attracted the future artist.
Distant fantasy worlds, fantastic events and incredible fantasies, events of the near future, all this is in the new book Adagio 9/12. Science fiction books from a series of Russian science fiction literature dedicated to the mysterious and intriguing, mystical and secret. A book worth reading.
Having moved, like many Romanian emigrants to America, Daniel helped his mother a lot with the housework, because how difficult was the lot of newcomers in America in those days. I had to work hard to earn my living. But even here, the future artist of the fantastic genre managed to find some time to do his favorite thing. First with pencils, then with felt-tip pens, he drew fairy-tale worlds. When his mother gave him a set of paints for his birthday, he was in “seventh heaven” with happiness.
Now the artist works in various painting techniques, using a computer for final image processing. The demand for the topic allowed Daniel to create his own design studio and hire artists to help him.
Working in the gaming industry, the artist receives a lot of offers from various other areas of advertising and printing. Numerous exhibitions and publications, online galleries and presentations clearly present to fans of science fiction and computer graphics the work of the Romanian artist.
