Maria Catharina Wiik (Finnish: Maria Catharina Wiik; August 2, 1853, Helsingfors, Grand Duchy of Finland - June 19, 1928, Helsinki, Finland) was a Finnish artist.
Born on August 2, 1853 in Helsingfors, in the Grand Duchy of Finland into a wealthy family.
Since 1875 she studied painting in Paris. In 1889, in Great Britain, she met the Finnish artist Helena Schjerfbeck, who had a strong influence on the formation of her creative style.
The last decade of his life was overshadowed by eye disease, which also affected his creativity.
She died on June 19, 1928 in Helsinki.
