Marta Zamarska is a contemporary Polish artist and part-time qualified English teacher.
In 2008, she graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, Faculty of Painting, receiving a diploma with honors. There the artist studied under the artistic guidance of Professor Krzysztof Wachowik (painting), Professor Dorothy Grinzel (batik, artistic writing on fabric), Dr. Piotr Zuber (theoretical part). Marta dedicated her art to the railway, which, for many years, was and remains now the dominant theme in her painting.
Marta Zamarska also graduated from the Teachers' College in Cieszyn and the American Research Center at the University of Warsaw, where she specialized in American culture and literature. She defended her dissertation under the supervision of Dr. Christina Mazur on the influence of Frank O'Hara's poetry on painting, music and dance. Her works are in numerous private collections in Poland, Germany, Italy and the United States. Marta took part in group exhibitions several times, in which her paintings on the railway theme were shown. Personal exhibitions of painting, under the auspices of Railway Journal, are also devoted to this topic.
In addition, the artist often travels to Ustron, where she wanders the mountains and rides a mountain bike. For many years she studied modern dance and, in addition to railway painting, this is another topic of inspiration for her artistic work. In 2007, she took part in a festival of solo and pair dances, to which she plans to dedicate a series of paintings in the near future.
