"My passion for painting came unexpectedly while designing sets for plays and musicals. I was creating a backdrop for the South Pacific when the light bulb went off in my head: I could paint landscapes and sell them, because that's what I do." best of all! Thus began my new career as a professional artist, and my first and surprisingly successful personal exhibition took place in April 2009. It was soon followed by a second, no less successful, and in 2011 three solo exhibitions of my landscapes took place. was an explosion with 18 shows, 5 of which were solo shows and the same year several of my works were exhibited permanently in a gallery in New York.Heatherbell's urge to write comes from looking at the beautiful Devon landscape, the sea or National Trust gardens , each of which represents an inexhaustible source of ideas for my paintings."
