Japanese artist Teppei Sasakura was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1954. He graduated from Musashino University of Art, Faculty of Industrial Design and became an illustrator after some experience as a graphic designer. The first solo exhibition took place in 1990 and was Teppei’s debut as an artist. The following year brought widespread fame and recognition in Japan. The Japanese traditional sense of beauty with the sensibility of French impressionism, experience as an illustrator and hard work allowed the artist to create his own unique style of expression.
