Achille Lauge - French post-impressionist artist (19 works)
Achille Lodge (1861-1944). Born into a farmer's family. He began painting at the age of 17 in Toulouse, where he met Antoine Bourdelle and Aristide Milot and maintained long-term friendships with them. Three years later he studies with Alexandre Cabanel and Jean-Paul Laurent at the Paris School of Fine Arts. Lodge did not adhere to Seurat's strict scientific system and worked in a free manner. In 1888-1896. Achille Lauger writes with small dots of color. He then creates landscapes, portraits and still lifes using fine lines similar to shading. After 1905, the artist paints with a wide brush in a free manner, which brings him closer to the traditional technique of the Impressionists, talentedly depicting the bright colors of the south.
