1735 or 1736 - F. S. Rokotov was born in the village of Vorontsovo near Moscow
1757 – For the first time, the artist’s name was mentioned in a letter from M.V. Lomonosov to I.I. Shuvalov with a request to instruct “Fedor” to copy a portrait of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna for mosaic work
1760 – Admitted to the Academy of Arts “by verbal order” of I. I. Shuvalov
1762 – Promoted to adjunct for the portrait of Peter III
1763 – Paints ceremonial portraits of Catherine II in connection with her coronation
1762 – 1765 – Teaches at the Academy of Arts
1765 – Awarded the title of academician “for his experience in pictorial portraiture” and the painting “Venus and Cupid” (Leningrad, State Russian Museum)
around 1767 - Moves to Moscow, where he works on private orders, carries out individual assignments at the Academy of Arts
around 1768 – Portraits of the guardians of the Orphanage I. N. Tyutchev, S. V. Gagarin, P. I. Vyrubov
