Alexandra Petrovna Guryeva-Sazhaeva

Painter, graphic artist, children's book illustrator.

Alexandra Guryeva-Sazhaeva was born in the village of Glukhovo, Bogdanovichsky district, Sverdlovsk region in 1950. She graduated from the art and graphic department of the N.-Tagil Pedagogical Institute. Participant of more than 30 collective and personal exhibitions, repeated participant of the Biennale in Gabrovo (Bulgaria). Works in the technique of easel painting and graphics. Main preference: landscape, still life, genre and fairy-tale scenes. Many art historians classify Alexandra Petrovna’s paintings as belonging to the genre of “fantastic realism.” The artist’s works are in museums and private collections in Russia, Europe, the USA and China. The artist has designed several books for children.
