Works by Georgy Kolosov. Part 2. “Truly He is Risen!” (12 works)
Georgy Mstislavovich Kolosov was born in 1945. Graduated from Moscow Power Engineering Institute. Has been involved in photography since 1976. In 1978, he became a member of the Novator photo club, where he received the main lessons in fine culture. He studied with the classic of Russian photography G.N. Soshalsky. Kolosov is one of the ideologists of modern pictorial (pictorial) photography. He was the first among modern photographers to shoot only with a monocle - a single-lens lens that allows him to achieve a particularly picturesque photographic image. His first experiments in shooting with soft-focus optics date back to 1979. Kolosov designs monocles himself and uses only his own optics. Kolosov’s photographs are kept in the Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the National Library of France (Paris) and in private collections around the world. The author’s personal collection contains more than 200 works created by the master over 25 years.
“Truly he is risen!” (12 sheets, 2002-2006). Subjects unique to church themes in terms of their complexity of form (blurs, multi-exposure, etc.). Spontaneously filmed and unusually rich in symbolism that was unpredictable, including for the author himself, they refer to the events of Passion and the first minutes of Easter in their liturgical projection.
