I live in the suburbs of St. Petersburg. I have 5 cats. They all live in freedom, i.e. they come when they want, they leave when they want, sometimes for a long time. In winter they bring their friends to eat. And they serve as a source of inspiration for me.
I studied drawing at the art school at the Repin Institute in St. Petersburg. After graduating from school, I realized that I didn’t want to draw and wouldn’t, and I entered the University at the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics.
Then she worked as a programmer in one very closed office. One day I was given a selection of poems about cats and I really wanted to illustrate these poems. That's how it all started.
I've been drawing cats for about eight years now. In 2005, I took part in the traditional St. Petersburg exhibition "March Cats". It was held in the exhibition hall "Karetny" in the Central Park of Culture and Culture in March. I think I was a great success. I don’t think that many people visit the Central Park in March: it’s slushy. Nevertheless, during the two weeks that the exhibition was open, about 130 of my small-format works (15x21) were sold. Seven works were stolen. This also flattered me greatly: they won’t steal bad work.
