Artist Dona Gelsinger was born in 1960 near Los Angeles, California. Her father was a school teacher and her mother a nurse. Thanks to her loving parents, she had a happy childhood and began creating her drawings at a very early age.
After graduating from high school, she continued to study art at California State University.
After graduation, Dona was hired as a staff artist by a large corporation in southern California. But the work did not bring her moral satisfaction.
With the support and encouragement of her family, Dona soon left her unloved job and created a home studio and began painting portraits and illustrations.
The turning point in her work was 1987. This year, Dona Gelsinger got the opportunity to paint pictures of the Procession for the Church of Saint-Denis in the Diamond Bar, which she devoted about two years to. Her paintings helped make the new Church of Saint Denis in Diamond Bar, CA, a destination for devout pilgrims across America, and forever changed the fate of a little-known artist.
Dona Gelsinger has gained enormous popularity thanks to her little angels, who evoke tenderness, a warm smile and joy.
