Modern unusual architecture Bjarke Ingels Group
Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has won the national competition to design the Danish pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai. The Danish pavilion will symbolize the modern development of the country. Copenhagen is a city of bicycles and bike paths, a harbor, and a clean bay in which you can swim. This is a huge experience in the renovation of industrial and port areas, turning polluted industrial areas into parks and cultural buildings. Located in the center of the pavilion, a small artificial lake filled with sea water from the Bay of Copenhagen, and the Little Mermaid sculpture in the center of the reservoir is a long-standing symbol of the city. The architecture of the exhibition pavilion itself symbolizes development, movement towards environmental friendliness and openness to the whole world.
