Giant hyper-realistic portraits from South Korean artist Junguon Jung (12 photos)
Junggoon Jung is a hyperrealist artist from Seoul, South Korea who paints on canvas using acrylic paints and colored pencils. The artist carefully studies real models, photographs or busts of historical characters in order to then create his amazing works.
There are so many small but detailed details in each of his works that some people, not knowing that it is a painting, may think that this is a huge photograph. Thanks to his talent and skill, he manages to create subtle and delicate brushstrokes that make his portraits incredibly detailed.
Despite his youth, Junguon Jung has already held more than one personal exhibition, and also took part in several group exhibitions, and was awarded first prize at Beaux-Art 2011. Below you can view several of his works.
