Artist KLEINIAN transforms ordinary stones into smartphones, carving elements of everyday digital life into them—from social media feeds to YouTube interfaces and alarm clocks. His project, which the artist calls "contemporary archaeology," offers a look at the digital age as a cultural layer that could vanish without a trace. Each work imitates a familiar interface, but in the "eternal" material of stone, creating a contrast between the fragility of data and its physical durability. In this way, the artist raises the question of what legacy will be left behind in a world where much of life exists solely digitally.
