The artist makes touching sculptures of dogs from old rags (18 photos)
Such sad, but such expressive sculptures of Helen Thompson's dogs draw attention to the problem of homeless animals like nothing else. The British artist, also known as Holy Smoke, makes dogs from wire, burlap and old, tattered rags. According to the artist, her sculptures convey “the uniqueness, a certain fragility and character of animals,” because they so need warmth and affection.
