Are you ready for exciting adventures? This photographer's collection of photographs is excellent proof that the Earth has a lot to offer and that many places still remain unknown to us. Through his outstanding works, Daniel Kordan will take you to the most remote places where you can explore the beauty of our planet.

Daniil says that his journey into photography began with a deep love for nature and adventure.

“About 10 years ago I started working as a guide for a mountain club and it gave me the opportunity to travel to amazing places. It made me want to capture all the beautiful moments I witnessed and share them. I also met a lot of wonderful people and different cultures. That’s what I like: using a camera allows you to meet other people and new places.”

“However, I had a hard time choosing between science and photography. My greatest passion has always been science, and I enjoyed doing scientific work. In comparison, photography was more of a pure passion. After careful consideration of the question (working with physics or photography as a profession), the decision was made. I chose photography and travel. It became what I loved most in life.

Now that I'm a full-time landscape photographer (and Nikon Ambassador), I still don't consider my photography workshops work. It's because I'm so emotionally involved. Photography has become an integral part of my life.”

“It's been a long journey. Building a great landscape portfolio also took many years. This is not something that can be done in one go. It is hard work.

In the early years of building my portfolio, I was not known as a photographer. Because of this, I received virtually no feedback on my work. There were no companies or people to collaborate with. I had to work for myself. I often felt like a lone wolf wandering in the mountains. To be precise, it took about 7-8 years of my career just to build my skills and portfolio. Finally, after all these years of hard work, my hard work began to pay off (with licenses, print requests, and many clients returning to my tours). I gained more recognition and I started making a living financially.”

“As I delved deeper into photography, I found myself drawn to the challenge of capturing the raw beauty of remote and diverse places around the world.

Specializing in photographing diverse locations was a natural progression for me. I've always been fascinated by the incredible diversity of landscapes our planet has to offer, from the icy wilderness of Antarctica to the otherworldly landscapes of Iceland. Each location presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities, forcing me to constantly evolve and improve my craft.”

“Choosing a location to shoot is a deeply personal process that involves a combination of research, intuition and a sense of adventure. I am constantly on the lookout for new and unique places that inspire me creatively and emotionally.

One of the key factors I consider when choosing a location is its natural beauty and cultural significance. I'm drawn to places with a rich variety of landscapes, from towering mountains and pristine beaches to ancient forests and bustling cities. I also look for places that are off the beaten path, where I can immerse myself in the local culture and connect with the natural world.

Ultimately, my goal is to create images that evoke a sense of wonder and awe, transporting viewers to distant lands and inspiring them to explore the beauty of our planet for themselves.”

“Your journey is not just about going to a certain place. Try to create it as a long-term project with several goals and ideas to test - the goal could be an album, an environmental project, or an exhibition, for example - before pursuing the project using a "scientific" approach.
