Melissa Groo is an internationally renowned and award-winning photographer, writer, birdwatcher, and environmentalist based in upstate New York. Melissa's passion for wildlife, conservation and ethical photography drives storytelling and educating people about the wonders of the natural world through images.
She believes photography can be both a fine art and a powerful storytelling medium, and considers herself a “wildlife biographer” as well as a wildlife photographer. Melissa was a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers. Her work has been published in Smithsonian Magazine, National Geographic, and National Wildlife.
