Nur-Sultan: the photographer walked through the capital of Kazakhstan, covered in frost (31 photos)
Polish photographer Patryk Biegaski visited the capital of Kazakhstan - Nur-Sultan (formerly Astana), and shared his collection of mesmerizing photographs. Temperature -20, fog, half-empty streets mixed with the futuristic architecture of the city are reminiscent of scenes of an enchanting post-apocalypse.
"My return flight to Poland that day was canceled due to adverse weather conditions, and I got another chance to admire the cosmic, surreal cityscapes of Nur-Sultan. The temperature was about -20 degrees Celsius, and my hands were terribly cold. But I I felt like I was in a fairy tale,” writes the photographer.
"Strange but beautiful buildings, futuristic skyscrapers, a stunning mosque and huge palaces engulfed in frost and fog... It all transported me to another world. A futuristic fairy tale with a touch of post-apocalypse."
